Milkweed Farm Summer CSA
WHAT’S A CSA?
A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is like a farm subscription - you sign up at the start of the season and get a weekly share of fresh, locally grown veggies. It’s a great way to eat seasonally, try new produce, and support your local farmers. Plus, it helps the farm plan ahead and grow food just for you. Some CSAs (like ours!) even let you add extras or take a "vacation week" if you need a break. It’s a simple, flexible way to get the best of the season straight from the farm to your table.
WHAT’S IN A SHARE?
Milkweed’s CSA is a "Farmer’s Choice" CSA, meaning we select the best of what’s in season each week for your share. We aim to include something from each of the following categories to provide a well-balanced mix of flavors and uses.
A snack – e.g., carrots, snap peas
A cooking green – e.g., kale, chard, tatsoi
Salad essentials – e.g., lettuce, arugula, baby greens
Something substantial – e.g., eggplant, zucchini, summer squash
An herb – e.g., basil, cilantro, parsley
An allium – e.g., onions, garlic, scallions
Tomatoes – in peak season
We offer one share size as we think it’s the right amount for small families, couples who love to cook, or households with college kids home for the summer. Plus, members can add extras each week through our online store to customize their share!
